Learn about the sounds and faces of “Palmela is Music” (“Palmela é Música”)!

During the last week of November, A Música Portuguesa A Gostar Dela Própria (Portuguese Music Likes Itself) was in Palmela to record the municipality's musical heritage. By clicking on https://vimeo.com/mpagdp, you will be able to learn about and travel to the rhythms, cadences, instruments and voices that make the territory unique. After all… Palmela is Music!  

In the first phase, it was possible to record the multiple dimensions that musical expression assumes in the municipality. In early 2020, A Música Portuguesa A Gostar Dela Própria will be back in order to continue this gathering work which integrates Palmela is Music action plan.

Since this heritage must be preserved, the Municipality of Palmela thanks the cooperation of the following personalities, groups and musical ensembles:

  • Edite Machado, Palmira and the musicians and singers of the Associação de Idosos de Palmela;
